Seeking Honest Reviews on Fudamental Edge

Hey Folks, I'm looking for honest reviews of Brett Caughran's Fundamental Edge course from those who have either taken it themselves or work with someone who's been through it. There was a single similar thread a few months ago and the reviews appeared mixed, but were mostly vague. I would like to understand if the course is worth the price for someone like me, who is knowledgeable about finance/investing and actively invests a personal account, yet with the feeling that my knowledge stems more from theory/dogma with less exposure to the practicalities of real-world professional investing.

Thank you for the reply. Any further expansion would be helpful, either here or in PMs; things you liked, thought were lacking, etc. I'm in a situation where I would really like to make it to a small single manager but it would greatly behoove me to step up my investing game even if I don't make it to a professional seat. In other words, I don't care about the credentials as much as the knowledge.

I'm analyst at a large multimanager and i'm taking the class next week.

Lots of analyst of my fund have taken the class so I suppose it's worth the money. But the concept of worthiness is difficult to apply to this case because the dollar spent by a $2bn-pod has not the same value than a dollar spent by a fresh graduate with a $100k student loan to repay.

This is exactly the kind of content the MM PM are looking for as a base training. I would be more hesitant to pay this myself if I were not already working full time either in the buyside or sellside.

Keep in mind that all those people (including myself) are not paying themselves for the class but instead ask the PM/firm to pay.
