Usually I like to talk about the firm's deals and modeling/pitching, as well as status of ECM/DCM.
Ask why they chose the firm. MDs will have a lot of insight, they usually have a fair bit of a choice, ask about the 30,000 foot view (plans for growth, high level trends).
