CB -> Liquid Credit AMA

I thought I'd take a break from shitposting and offer some value to the community WSO. My background is in corporate banking (4 YOE), before my recent move to a MM PE fund to support their credit strategy. My team targets both performing and opportunistic investments in liquid credit markets (i.e. not direct lending). AMA - everything is on the table

Can you provide more insight on how you switched over? Trying to understand whether most leave after 2 years or later. Tricky to understand exactly what CB exits look like especially those housed within IB.

Thanks for doing this.

In terms of getting the ball rolling, did you start to have an interest at the end of analyst stint and try to recruit, or decided later on into your associate years?

Any tips to stand out from a CB background since I assume competition will be from the likes of LevFin/DCM. What's the edge you pitched to them?
