Ex GA staffer confirms no mental illness

In a seemingly normal and fully coherant LinkedIn post, the ex GA loud mouth has confirmed she suffers from no mental illness and was simply checked into the ER due to stress. Her posts are nothing more than a rambling from someone that has opted to dig her heels in and embrace her foolish actions as opposed to admitting her wrongdoing and apologise.

To all the plebs on WSO who were crying "mental illness" shame on you for not calling a spade a spade - this is simply a girl who squandered her opportunities after throwing a temper tantrum for not getting awarded carry. She will never work in finance again - good!

We don't know one way or the other, and I'm not familiar with the details, but hopefully you are right and she is fine.

Either way, it is not our place to comment. Given that neither of us know the full story or situation, I encourage you to approach this with more empathy.

AndyLouis perhaps consider taking these posts down? Not sure exactly what the site policy is, but it doesn't feel right for people to publicly speculate about this girl's situation like this

Wasn't aware of that, I know nothing about her and I'm not defending anything that she had said. She could be perfectly fine, I have no clue. Just encouraging more empathy is all, as your post toward her is quite harsh.

She intentionally made herself a public figure, going so far as to be interviewed by efinancialcareers. Speculation isn't a crime nor is it harassment.

Is there a link to her posts? Nothing came up in a google search.

Is no one at all concerned about what drove her to a state like this in the first place???

Yes, she may be suffering a mental breakdown or she may be a perfectly sane person squandering away her career she took years to build just to make her points. BUT, what drove her to be like this? She must've been a perfectly normal person to speak to for getting hired at Morgan Stanley and then GA, yet she's now clearly burned out. Call her delusional or whatever now, but it could've happened to any of us.

I agree the stuff she's doing NOW is questionable... However, what made her like this? Was she always like this??? She wouldn't have gotten into GA if she behaved like this from Day 1 or through interviews.

Her behavior right now is not what she was born with. It's been triggered by stress, (potentially) unfair treatment, (potentially) being "slaved" etc by working in finance and at places like GA. There's likely some truth in between all the accusations she's throwing out. It may be that GA is no worse than any other high finance firm, but we should seriously reflect on how our industry operates and how it sometimes break people.

To those jumping to her defense claiming finance broke her: she's not gonna bang you

Found the incel autistic ^ who thinks they're being edgy by giving a hot take yet can count on one hand the number of girls he's made eye contact with this year.

You're putting more energy into this chick by needing to prove to everyone she's "normal" and "not mentally ill" despite completing 2 years at MS and 2 years GA before going on LinkedIn and tagging Bill Gates, the FBI, President Obama, and the CIA saying that her old firm is harassing her and trying to rape and silence her on a daily basis and this chick has posted screenshots from GA's General Counsel saying he's advised the entire office to not respond to any of her 100+ e-mails she sends the entire firm daily!

Are you that mad at women that you need to make justification for the above not being some sort of absurd mental breakdown?  Nah dude, totally normal behavior from someone who just woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning.  Fucking crazy that we can't live in a world we all just agree the above is crazy and move on - always has to be some nut case to raise their hand and disagree so the entire class has to stay back and entertain their delusional take.

Zero chance her comp would've been $600k at GA. Also, didn't she pitch CVNA?

Ya agreed, key words in the article being 'if the fund performs'. Public tech investor in 2022 = fund probably down 30-50% or something depending on how leveraged their bets are and what is in

Other thing that stands out is that she thinks that since she did all the "work" (e.g. analysis) that entitles her to carry or equal opportunity as the partners. There are hundreds/thousands of people who can do the analysis but very few with the track record to actually raise institutional money. It's the same as IB, the people who bring in the funds/fees get paid, not the excel people even if that feels like "the work"

So her gripe is that she did "all the work" and wants carry, but at the same time she is saying the investments are now in the toilet and that MDs (not her) did bad deals....right.

There is this air of entitlement which I just don't understand. News flash - senior associates are paid to "do the work". If what she says is true, $600k in comp (without any carry) means she got paid extremely well, so I don't understand the complaining.

Tbh I've heard about WSO giving up peoples contact info with a subpoena. I guess you could create the account via a burner email but they can also track your IP. I dunno, I can understand people that get spooked as it doesn't seem like this forum is truly "safe"

I personally feel bad for her, and makes me speculate / emphasize how bad other people in PE might also have it. Clearly she's smart enough to do the job (if she got promoted and was making $600k as she claims). Hard to believe it would be just about carry - probably more going on that we're not aware of. Makes you wonder if these jobs are actually worth it…

Let's please stop giving this individual a platform or more attention that she deserves. She is a young person with enough skill or political prowess to get into GA but then bungled her opportunity due to her own ego.

Found the GA partner!! Don't bury her

That's not what LinkedIn is for... it's not a forum for ideas and open discussion of any given topic, it's for professional networking and she was acting incredibly unprofessional.

To be fair, crazy people generally don't know or can't comprehend that they're crazy. But seeing as how she was sprinkling a ton of woke buzzwords into her rants, whatever the diagnosis she's lost her seat in finance and will rightfully never have it back. Either she's mentally unstable and no one should ever trust her, or she's an incredibly unprofessional, immature woman who no one will want to employ seeing as how she bites the hand that feeds. Bye Felicia.

Given the content of her rants, I wonder if she's always been batshit insane (or had a latent mental illness), or if this is the end result of OD'ing on the woke kool-aid.   Like someone else mentioned, she was able to grind through a tough school, a top banking group, and land a good seat at GA only to toss it all away for... muh patriarchy slave drivers?  So weird.

Based on chatting with people that have worked with her the feedback was that she was quite sharp, hard working, and a good teammate but she apparently also has ego and would constantly push the envelope and clap back to people way above her. I think she ended up getting too big for her boots and she realized her time was done at the firm so she tried to go all woke and think she could come out looking like a victim.
