Private Credit / Direct Lending Analyst

Dear fellow monkeys, since I will be doing two internships in Private Debt in Frankfurt, Germany, next year, I was interested to hear your opinions regarding some questions that I will list below. To understand a little bit about the companies - one of them is a MM private equity fund with approximately €10bn in private debt AUM (just closed their €5bn fundraising) and the second one is a very large and known fund in the private debt space (think Blackrock, Ares, Blackstone). I will be interning 3 months at both funds but since I will be graduating in 2024 I am definitely looking forward to starting somewhere, preferably in LevFin / Private Credit. Hence, my questions: Is it possible to convert to FT from interning in private credit generally? I know that some PEs are recruiting only from IB / MBB analyst classes. How is the work life balance in private credit, especially in Europe? How do you think of generally beginning your career in Private Credit? How does pay look like in credit? A bit about my background as well - currently in my Master's degree, done internships in audit, valuation and most recently a debt advisory/RX internship at an EB (think Laz, Roth, PJT).Would be very glad to get some insided from my experienced chimps.
