Which Masters to get into VC or PE

Hello,

I a trying to choose a Master’s degree to do in France after finishing my bachelor’s in the US.

I would like to know if it is possible to get hired in a VC or PE right after college and if so, what would be the best Masters to do (in HEC Paris for example).
For know, I am hesitating between Finance, Entrepreneurship, and Business Analytics and Data Science.

Thank you for your help!

Why France specifically?

HEC International Finance is best, if you have time you can go through the Grande Ecole track to make sure you are competitive on the French market (make sure you are a native or perfectly fluent in French if you want to stay in the country, otherwise would not recommend)

To be honest if I were in the US already I would try to stay there, but obviously dependent on your personal situation

I am French yes.

Due to my personal situation it seems, for know, more realistic for me to do my Masters in France.

Are you sure completing the Grande École program will really be a plus compared to the MiF? I would have to do 1 more year of study to have, at the end, an equivalent diploma (bac +5).

Yes for London the Mfin is fine, but in France Grande Ecole programs are the gold standard, people there are mental over those schools and it is not much of an exaggeration to say they treat people that did not do them (or even got their qualifications abroad) as subtier candidates, regardless of how impressive the credentials are. Even not having gone to a prépa will be seen as cheating the system

Why France? Are you French? Do you want to work for a PE/VC unit in France? Or the US? Details would matter here.
1) I would always study where you want to work afterwards.
2) If you are intl. in the US, then try to focus on going the OPT/H1b route there with a degree in the US
3) I "ended up in VC/PE" and have a Masters in Finance, but I doubt that was the reason I got the job. (years of IB experience were the reason, plus my existing network and the deals I have done)
4) What were the results after your initial recruitment drive in UG?

I am French and for now going back to France, at least temporarily, seems like the most reasonable option for me.

Do you think I am making a mistake going back to France? Is it much less rewarding to work for a PE/VC in Europe than in the US?

3) Would you say it’s possible to avoid the IB step and jump into PE/VC straight after college? I saw some people that did it.

4) I am sorry I am new to this forum. Could you rephrase that question please?
