10 Most Innovative Companies in Retail in 2017

As a large percentage of the population moves towards online shopping, retail companies are looking for ways to make offline shopping a unique experience. The following companies are said to be the ten most innovative retail companies of 2017 for making shopping easier and more exciting (than it currently is of course.) The original article provides more details for the rankings.

01. AMAZON
For priming its consumers for a lifetime of purchases
02. CASPER
For making money in our sleep
03. THE HOME DEPOT
For growing without building
04. CLIQUE MEDIA GROUP
For parlaying fashion advice into retail gold
05. REWARDSTYLE
For giving influencers a platform for commissions
06. HYPEBEAST
For uniting sneaker heads into a lucrative demographic
07. PIRCH
For bringing the appliances store to life
08. ULTA BEAUTY
For beautifying the in-store makeup-buying experience
09. T.J. MAXX
For bringing a delightful sense of urgency back to offline shopping
10. BEAUTYCOUNTER
For lobbying safer cosmetics

I'm not surprised at all to see Amazon top the list, but some of these other companies, I haven't even heard of. For example, I'm a little confused to see that a mattress company is #2. However, Beautycounter does seem to be moving in a positive direction as a B Corp and only supporting safe cosmetics.

Do you guys think there are some companies on this list which shouldn't be here, or any companies which should have been mentioned?
