2 Years and Out PE Associate Roles

So I recently was offered an opportunity to move from an IB analyst role to a PE associate role at the conclusion of my two years in IB. Given the PE firm size, it is very common for associates to do 2 years and then out. Would be curious to hear of any people in this position did something other than going right to getting an MBA, as I currently am not sure that is what I would like to do. Any advice would be much appreciated.
