2010 Comp for Canadian Banks
Does anyone know what banks are offering for 2010 FT analysts? I've heard RBC is 75k base but no signing bonus. Also, does anyone have rough bonus numbers for the most recent full year?

RBC definitely not correct, unless they've upped by 15 in past year. expect 60-70 at the Big 5.
i am interested in this aswell, info on us BB's in toronto too perhaps?
I'm pretty sure all the Big 5 are paying at least 70 base this year.
bonus (signing and year end)?
Base still $65k at RBC and BMO...dont know what the other banks are but assume same as last year.
That 65k base number is wrong; I'm staring at an offer for $70k from RBC.
Base is 65K with 5K signing, that is confirmed at RBC, BMO, CIBC, Hr guy at one of the Big 5 told me they were all the same this year...
funny stuff in this thread This info is from ppl with actual offers bmo/rbc/cibc is 65k + 5 sign on national is 65k base with no sign on genuity is 70 base 10 sign on merrill toronto is 92 base 10 sign on (this is all toronto offices)
I don't know if this counts, but if TD Bank is on the big 5 as well, then I can provide some perspective there. Their salary for new FT positions are coparable to other US BB's. The usual 70+10K.
wow Merrill 92K base? They are still as far as I know the biggest US BB in Toronto? What were 2009 bonuses?
ML is by far the biggest in TO they have like 30 ppl in total. TD pays 70k plus 7,500 signing bonus, RBC, BMO and CIBC 65k +5K
Again, not sure where you guys are getting that RBC number from unless it's for IBD only. But Global markets was $75k with no sign-on.
