MBB > D > Everyone Else?

Best Response

MBB just does another round of musical chairs. Parthenon gets some recognition this year, which I think is fair. Bridgespan is doing great, which is really good news for them and they deserve it.

Deloitte is twice as close to OW than it is to MBB, and this is in the US which is their strongest market by far. Outside of the US they're only a marginal player and things look very different. Moreover, most T2 players excel in a certain field (e.g. OW in FS, ATK in ops, LEK in healthcare), whereas Deloitte is solid overall but outstanding nowhere.

If you have an idea of where you might want to specialize in I'd always pick a specialized T2 over Deloitte. Time for them to bury the hatchet with the other T2 firms and try again in 5 or 10 years.
