2nd Coffee Chat with people you didn't really "click" with initially?
I've been on a networking spree lately haven spoken to a number of bankers. I'm to the point where I want to follow up.
I've had a few bankers that I've spoken to who I didn't really "click" with, in the sense that they didn't really seem like they wanted to talk to me - dry answers, seemed uninterested...
How would I approach reaching out to them for a second coffee chat? Is it even worth it, or would it do more harm than good?
I'm also curious to what I should talk about in the call? Some of them are of the opposite sex so it can be hard to connect/break the ice through low hanging fruit.
Just curious to your opinions.
NO- why would you even want to do that and what purpose would it serve for either of you? You know they didn't really want to talk to you the first time around...
Generally speaking, what are you hoping to accomplish with a 2nd coffee chat with anybody? Don't just network to network- make sure you have a purpose and sometimes it just needs to happen organically. Follow ups for a second chat seem forced- an email check in is fine but asking another 30+ minutes of their time for a second meeting seems excessive unless you know them well.
