4th year undergrad
Graduating from a target school in 3 years with two concentrations, finance and accounting. My thoughts are if I can graduate early and get the job I want at a top PE firm then why not, if I can't then I come back for my fourth and keep trying. But I don't know what to study that forth year. Should I continue taking business classes? Transfer to somewhere for different views like to sunny Cali at Stanford? Get my masters? I think getting a masters is what I'm leaning towards right now but don't know anything about the space. Any ideas or advice?
Maybe you should have a scenario analysis. PE isn't easy for many, let alone an undergrad. It's doable but plan your safety cards
Can you explain further on you why you by scenario analysis?
I don't think they take you because you get a master or finish your degree quickly. They hire you when your skill set is ready.
Agreed. But if you can graduate in 3 why not and then you can always come back the 4th year and take more classes if you're skill set is not ready. What I'm asking is if they're are any other options after graduating in 3 that I can do my 4th year other than enter the job market or come back and take more classes that I could possibly do that would make me unique and improve my skill set
You usually have to declare graduation early in schools. If you can interview and get a job, I say sure. I graduated a year earlier too to avoid wasting time, and I hit the job market right away. There isn't anything wrong with it. It depends on how you plan with it
Thanks for the advice, and yeah I have already declared it.
the financial aid in masters' get more painful, and a grad degree isn't a gold ticket automatically, FYI. FAFSA at grad level is just a fishtank of loans. Don't get out if you're not ready basically.
Bump
