750 gmat, cfa I, shit college GPA trying to break into IB
Hi guys,
I'm Stine from Denmark - I was a valedictorian in math, programming and science in high school, also a former artist and current musician. I got into the best business bachelor in my country, but I became extremely depressed so my GPA took a dive. I still made it into a great master's in finance but my GPA is below 3 and I am going to graduate in 4-5 months. I have 750 in the GMAT, I have CFA I passed and I am in Mensa.
Now here's my issue - during my studies I spent 2 years in treasury, doing financial modelling part time. I just took a one year contract in accounting in a non target corporate firm. I want to move into investment banking (M&A) in either Scandinavia or London, but I am scared that my low GPA and one year in accounting are dealbreakers. Should I do an MBA? What do you suggest I shift my career towards and do I have any chances? Should I finish the CFA?
Thank you.
