Data Centers/infrastructure to PERE Acquisitions?
Curious to hear people’s take on this transition. For context, I had a couple years of PERE experience prior to my current role at a PE firm specializing in data centers and infrastructure investments. I’m looking to make a move back into acquisitions at a larger shop.
Interesting, I'd think data centers and infrastructure is a great specialization to have right now. What's pushing you to change? Just prefer a broader menu of things to do?
My gut says you will be fine. Could probably add a bunch of value to a bigger general shop day 1 with your data center experience and then pick up other stuff over time. Especially if you have experience in less-specialized REPE before this.
