True, and that would be the main reason for doing it. Secondly for future resumes and third for money. Could definitely get paid more from yard work.

It's hard for even freshmen in college to get these kinds of experience. You will have a big leg up to get the most competitive internships looking for freshmen if you keep a good GPA, ECs, and go to a good school. You can try your hand at a Search Fund or boutique IB (more difficult) freshman summer and that should set you up for where you want to go.
I did a similar internship my senior year and you get out of it what you put into it. If you’re curious about finance and ask questions you can learn some good information. It’ll be more concepts regarding IM then IB so keep that in mind. The experience would be good but you could always spend your time taking a modeling or IB prep course.
