Noticed Error in Resume
Signed a SA 21 EB just noticed I messed up on one of the dates on my resume, said I worked for 4 months but only 1 was paid the other 3 was unpaid and training, when should I reach out to HR? Now or during BG checks?

Thanks, what interview are you talking about, does HR set up interview with BR checks?
Haha this is classic I didn’t read the question. Just revise to whatever is truthful and be proactive. Better to tell them about it then have them ask and not be able to back it up. If you were in training for those months and have an offer that supports that don’t worry what your text documents say. Just send them that when they ask
Even if the other months were unpaid, you still worked there so it should still count so no worries
Most they’ll ask for is an offer letter (they asked for mine for a startup I was at), if ur contract supports that start date you’ll be fine. Otherwise would bring it up during BG checks. Either way sure you’ll be fine
Ya in my offer letter if it was only for one month but my boss sent me work to do 2 months in advance to prepare and did unpaid work for the month after as well not in my offer letter

I see these types of comments frequently and who are we kidding. Your official offer was for 1 month, but prior to that your to-be boss sent you work so you could prepare for the internship. So in the resume, you stretched it and included that as the time you started to work there.
That is not an error. That is a decision you made, which you probably regret now in the face of background checks.
The real test won't be offer letter, or even emails she sent you. They will probably call your boss and ask to confirm your employment for the dates you gave. If she confirms them as accurate, then that's it. If not, they'll flag it and you'll have to deal with HR directly (which probably won't give a shit anyways).
Good luck
fair enough, should I reach out to them and try to send an edited resume and explain the situation?
