Street cred for startup fund (and how to talk about it)

Hey folks,

I've found myself in a situation where I am going to T20 school for my MBA and also managing a small ($5MM) PE fund.  The fund is doing well so far, targeting somewhere between 1-2x return over 2 years (short term strategy).

How do I talk about this as I recruit for a larger PE fund? Worth talking about and/or putting on my resume? Or does this come off looking like amateur hour and better to treat it like a side hustle/quick buck?
