Abnormal Interviews...

Anyone been part of any strange pure-fit interviews with kind of boring, not typical banker type-A kind of people? I had the experience with a regional Wachovia and Lazard office and both instances were pretty horrendous -- especially the Lazard office with 8 people.

How do you guys deal with this? When the interviewer doesn't talk alot... is kind of boring and you're left with a 15 minute Q&A session?

I'd prefer tech grilling to this but maybe I'm approaching it poorly?

I had a 1st rd with DB one time and the MD proceeded to talk for 40 minutes straight about the life of banker, exit ops, himself, and the characteristics of the people who went to my school. We went 15 min over and I hardly said a word during the entire thing.
