About Modeling Skill

As an associate, what kind of modeling skills is required? VBA, Crystal ball, C++ or just Excel is fine.
Also what kind of modeling? FCF, Pro Forma, Stimulating analysis? Is there anything else?
When talking about updating models everyday, what kind of model is it? Why update everyday?
Thanks!!

Basic Excel skills are all that is needed. It's more about understanding how financial statements flow and the drivers of value.

You can get as complicated as you want, but you often end up with a garbage in, garbage out problem. I've used Crystal Ball before and the issue is specifying the model properly or you end up with results that don't make any sense.

At the end of the day, you will use the models to aide and support your final investment recommendation.
