About to send emails for FT search- Resume Check

Hey fellow monkeys. Long story short. I recently graduated and have yet to receive a FT offer. Over the past couple years, I've built a large list with contact info of various people in finance. I plan on sending out 50 emails every weekday with my resume attached. The goal is to get people on the phone.

I would greatly appreciate any recommendations regarding my resume.

Just want to tell you that this is a horrible idea. Who are these contacts? Where did you source them? Did you ask them if you could send them your resume?

No quicker way to get yourself blacklisted than to do this - especially when you're trying to go through back-channels in non-recruitment season.

Better suggestion: send personal emails to your contacts asking to talk about them, their careers, how they got their jobs. Then turn it into: I'd love your feedback on my resume. Organic way for you to get your resume in front of your "contacts."

I always send my resume with my cold emails and normally get close to a 80% response rate. It is all about how you position your resume when you send it. I tell them that I put mine on there to give them a bit more information on my background. I NEVER ask for a job or internship over email. Always find an excuse to get the person on the phone or, even better, meet up in person and then towards the end of the conversation (assuming it went well) ask about the potential need/desire for an intern/new FT employee. Also keep your emails short. A typical email for me goes as follows:

My name is Joe Blow and I'm a recent graduate from Sinkhole University.  I’m familiar with your group and a couple of the transactions you guys have closed, and I was wondering if in the coming week or so you would have 30 minutes to grab coffee or hop on the phone to offer some career advice.  I’ve attached my resume to give you a bit of information regarding my background.

Best regards,

Joe Blow
