Accept Offer without Offer Letter?

I got an offer from a corp. role, post-MBA. However, they're super late with getting me an offer letter to look over with details and I think they want an answer before the official letter will come. Is this normal? I had the recruiter write out the salary, bonus and relocation in an informal email though. But its missing stuff like benefits, start date, and role. I think the benefits are the same for everyone... Is that basis enough for me to accept? Can I accept and then ask for a letter?

I think it is. Unless there's something specific regarding your benefits you'd like included, I don't think there's harm in accepting before receiving a formal letter. Besides, until your signature's on the actual letter, your "verbal" acceptance isn't official either. If you're curious, just ask them for their standard benefits brochure. If you're worried about the validity of your offer, you can ask the company (not the recruiter) to type up a quick email outlining your offer.
