I get that you didn't have a great college career after your freshman season but you're still going to be likely a second or third tound pick assuming BOB doesn't pick you in the first.

On a serious note, yes, you'll be fine. Maybe not M7, unless it's a really well known company, but you definitely can get top 20 with a complete profile.

Work experience is just one part of the MBA application, and yes that work experience would be fine. I just got into several top 15 schools from corporate finance at a F500 company.

Along with what you and others have said, I think that having a cohesive story that makes sense is key. So if you want to do IB post-MBA, start to make your profile as finance/M&A related as possible. If you want to do consulting, maybe look to transition into more of a strategic finance role, or do pro-bono consulting for local businesses. I think something that helped me stand-out in my application was showing that I am passionate about my post-MBA goals through my career decisions and other extracurricular activities. Make sure you have a good story for "why MBA", "why xyz school", and you can tie it into your resume. Just my 2 cents. PM me for any specific questions.
