Accidentally connecting with someone on Linkedin

Well apparently I added two colleagues of my parents by accident last night and this morning I woke up to find two new connections... Not quite sure how it happened as I was messing around with Linkedin mobile app... So my question is, is it appropriate for me to just apologize to them and remove them from my contacts? That seems like the most logical thing to do.  Thanks

Edit: Appreciate the advice everyone!
