Add Females to Board of Directors...or Face De-Listing

Apparently a decade of efforts to spur greater gender diversity hasn't worked, so the Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan is trying more drastic actions...

The giant Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan wants the province’s securities regulator to require all public companies to have at least three women on their boards, saying a voluntary option is unlikely to have much impact.

Teachers outlined its bold proposal in a letter submitted Friday to the Ontario Securities Commission, saying companies that fail to have at least three female directors after a transition period – which it suggests setting at 2020 – should be delisted from the Toronto Stock Exchange.

Thoughts?

Bruh errybody know that "Tim Horton's Famous Maple Syrup Co." is the largest cap stock on the TSE. Currently trading at a P/E of around 200. Shit is HOT.

"Yes. Money has been a little bit tight lately, but at the end of my life, when I'm sitting on my yacht, am I gonna be thinking about how much money I have? No. I'm gonna be thinking about how many friends I have and my children and my comedy albums."

This is an empty threat. Many companies listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange are also listed on NYSE and if they're not listed they can always can become listed on NYSE.

And per the usual the education system is trying to ruin another facet of the economy. As if turning out a bunch of idiots that can't do anything on their own wasn't enough they have to now hold their economic hub hostage because their vaginas are hurting because off all of the dick on the board of major companies.

I freaking hate teachers. I respect what they do, but they're the pieces of shit that want to destroy economies AND THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW THEY'RE DOING IT

Every board should be 50% female, 10% black, 10% Latino/a, 5% Asian, 3% biracial, 10% gay, 1% transgender, and 5% containing at least 3 of these statuses. It's only fair. Similarly, 50% of Victoria's Secret retail employees should be men, 50% of engineers should be women (we can get by with 80% less engineers, right?), and so on. When haven't quotas worked? Look at Clarence Thomas, most underqualified SC Justice but at least he's there and black. How else to get under-represented categories of people that can't do the job properly in those jobs?
