Add to my resume or not?

I have an internship coming up at a small (read: very small) venture capital firm Aug 2019-Jan 2020 while I finish my sophomore year. Since this hasn't happened yet should I add it to my resume or just leave it off? I will be learning valuation techniques and then attending a deal forum, where hopefully they decide to invest so I can gain some deal experience. Thoughts?

Things are so early nowadays that I got my junior summer internship before I started my sophomore internship. You can put incoming intern at x and put your job duties as the description if you want.

I recruited during an accelerated cycle, and like an above poster, I got my summer analyst spot before starting my sophomore internship. I learned at the super day that everyone else had put their sophomore summer internship before having started it, while I hadn’t. I mentioned to my various interviewers what I’d be doing for the summer, but I had to find a way to work it in each time. It obviously didn’t kill my chances, but it’s become commonplace to list your upcoming internship. Now your internship isn’t over the summer so there’s more a bit more time in between your interviews and your start date, but I’d list it if you don’t already have other finance-related internships in place.

If you do, then just find a way to mention it to interviewers.

I will definitely add it after I begin. I asked today because 2020 SA applications opened up and I'm throwing some hail mary's out to try and land something for sophomore summer next year.
