Addressing Consulting Cover Letter

Hey all,

I'm currently writing my cover letter for the typical, entry-level position within MBB and I've identified the Partners of the practice groups I'd like to work in specifically for each, so I'm wondering if it would be better to address my cover letter specifically to the person?

If so, and I don't get the position, would this likely rule me out of being considered for other generalist roles where I could work across industries/projects before settling into the one I like?
