Admissions must be a crapshoot If he couldn't make it into HBS (assuming he applied)

http://underthebutton.com/2011/11/reggie-love-oba…

I have absolutely no chance.

I guess the real question is why in the hell would you go get your MBA after working for Obama, you can get any job you want with a reference from El Presidente....KKR - no problem, Viking - no problem, governor of Chicago...ha, ha - no problem.

Does "body man" = body guard? If so, why is that relevant to HBS or any other business school? Who cares?

Admissions is a crap shoot though. They have certain slots to fill, and "less competitive" people can get in simply because they meet the criteria. I met a girl who got in who had weak scores, no leadership, and like two years of mediocre WE. She got in because she had "social media" experience at some crappy social media start up and fit the criteria for HBS' social media niche program. Female + minority + nichey bull shit application = win.

Not to say there aren't some killers, but yeah, it can be very flukey.

No he was Obama's personal secretary. With him all the time.

Every time I read about Reggie Love, the only thing I can think about is the time he went to a party at UNC, passed out, and got teabagged. It was surprising that the Obama campaign team didn't seem to care that those pictures were posted to the internet and gave him a job anyway.
