Advice for a Data Scientist
I am a data scientist (Grad Degree and a couple of years of work experience) but I want to switch to a more business/operations role. My day to day involves working with clients and developing and leading analysis. Job is pretty customer facing. The reason that I am thinking about switching careers 1) pressure of producing near real time analyses 2) general interest in business and 3) scared about getting stuck in the role and being labeled as too quantitative.
Would be cool if someone could help me with a path to a more business role at a FF500 or management consulting firm? How can I change positions without a paycut? What roles should I be looking for to ease more into the business side?
