Advice for a total newbie
I've recently moved to NYC from a small Midwestern town and have been working at a FinTech PR firm for about 6 months now. While I enjoy it, the firm I work for has a number of management issues and I am looking for new work. I've always been interested in financial services but I didn't study finance in college. I have a strong interest in investor relations. I'm super driven and excited about taking my career down a new path, but I'm not very sure where to start. I have interviews this coming week for a trading position and another analyst position. Does anyone have any advice for me as to how to REALLY leverage a career in the financial services industry without a related degree? I've had countless internships, one being in retail banking.
