Advice Needed - 2nd year hoping to get a IB internship

I'm a 2nd year hoping to get a i banking internship after junior year. I just finished a financial advising internship ( "BS internship") at a major financial services firm. A few weeks ago, I applied for a hedge fund internship, but was unable to obtain it. However, I was offered a position in their wealth management division.

Since their wealth management division is literally right next to the hedge fund, I could potentially get some exposure to the hedge fund. I just need to be thick-skinned, which I'm not afraid to do.

So, should I bother doing this new internship considering I just did something very similar to this? Do financial advising/pwm internships even help my resume?

Thanks.

I didn't realize that experience was transmitted through osmosis... will now camp out outside KKR, maybe become a street vendor. Hopefully I'll have exposed myself enough in a year or two to break into PE.

This seems like a solid opportunity...unless you have something better lined up for the semester, take it! You'll have additional experience to put on your resume and networking internally is much easier to do vs. being an outsider, which could prove invaluable in the next SA recruiting season.
