Advice needed - London MF view on US MBA

Current BA/A/AC at M/B/B in Continental Europe, about to start my 2nd year. Will shortly start to reach out to HH shops in London, hopeful to secure interview(s) at a US MF (I understand that my chances are way higher at Bain Cap, H&F, and Advent - also targeting the likes of BC Partners, Cinven, Permira, and such).

Here is my dilemma:
- I'm admitted 2+2 to HBS (in an ideal world, I'd secure an Associate position at MF for Summer 21, and a return offer after a 2-year stint)
- I think it would be great leverage towards HH and Funds in the US, but I'm an EU citizen, so it's unlikely I would be considered by the aforementioned funds in America pre-MBA
- Not sure what would be the views of HH & US MF in London on my MBA prospect? I'm truly undecided on mentioning it on my resume or not.

I know one guy at Bain Cap/ H&F/ Advent London who mentioned that his office stopped sponsoring MBAs 2/3 years ago and do not recommend them anymore.

But I can't be convinced after only one testimony, perspectives might change from firm to firm, and it's hard to let go of that kind of leverage.

Mention or not mention?

Sincere thanks in advance for the advice or testimony!

I don’t understand what you’re asking here. You want to know if you mention on your resume you are a HBS 2+2 admit (which is a big deal), would you get brownie points from your prospective pe employer? The answer to that would be No. think about it from a firm’s perspective - why would they want to bring on board someone who they know will leave after 2 years? As for your PE prospects, you definitely have a much better chance at PE in Europe than US; visa is a big impediment regardless of whether you’re at Harvard or bumble fuck uni of Iowa
