Advice on how to make a competitive SA 2023 application?

First year at a London target studying math/econ here trying to recruit into IBD roles at any top MM/EB/BB firm for SA 2023. No prior finance experience whatsoever, tried cold calling some PE/PWM firms resulting in them asking me to email them CV but usually never hearing back.

How can I best prepare myself to be a competitive applicant for 2023 SA Recruiting (e.g. how to find more finance related exp). I've started behavioural and technicals already but I'm worried I won't even get interviews at this rate and my lack of finance experience may hold me back from getting any summer analyst roles compared to those who have more exp on CVs.
