Agricultural Investing
I would appreciate any primers about agricultural investing. It seems like a very niche space. Thanks in advance

Check out this AMA by an agricultural commodities trader https://www.wallstreetoasis.com/forums/ama-im-an-agricultural-commoditi…
There are some PE that focus specifically on Ag. AGR and Ascendant are two in particular. I'm sure there are others as well.
Can you be a little more specific?
Otherwise: www.usda.gov
I would look at the naics codes and drill down if you are not talking about commodities, developing nations GDP (changes eating habits as it increases), patterns (new diet trends etc.) , current herds (feed lot inventory) , expected growth in population, seasonality (turkey sells better at thanksgiving), industry regulations (country of origin labeling etc.), subsidies (volumetric ethanol tax subcise) and cost of inputs (energy and food for protein producers) to start with.
Farmland - berries, citrus, nuts, etc - and in general how you value/model then etc? Key terms, multiples etc
Check out usda.gov - it has a trove of data if your willing to sift through it. Or look at shareholder presentations. I did a pretty in depth (30 pages at least) report on Tyson for school and really had no idea about protein producers.
