Almost dropped out of University, and barely graduated. Did I screw myself?

Starting off, I had a pretty horrendous GPA. I graduated from a no-name school with less than a EB, PE firms, etc) only grew my interest, I wanted a piece of it.

My main interest now is asset management and wealth management, with the intent to do whatever it takes to secure an entry level position at a firm, but am I out of luck? I'm currently sponsored to get my SIE, 6/63 and working towards that in the interim as well, have a general knowledge of wealth management and personal finance (partly due to me being grown around it), and have started networking non-stop. Have experience in working 80+ hour weeks doing what I love, already built a network of individuals who I can reach out to in the High Net Worth space who are potential clients, and am eager to join even any program, especially entry level, to get a solid foundation.

I know this industry is connections, however, all the connections I have are majority within personal finance, and not the kind of companies I'm looking to aim for. Should I switch to another industry, or keep applying? I purposely am not putting my GPA down on resumes, but my passion has shifted from what I was exceptionally good at, to now something I never initially had interest in, however, not focusing in college was the biggest thing I regret. I'm at the point where I'm applying to administrative positions just to get my foot in the door, and would do whatever it takes to do so. Any suggestions?
