Am / broker dealer -ria Career question
I am currently a trading ops rep outside of a tier 2 city for an extremely well-off Independent BD/RIA. I’m in my earlier 20’s and have my 7 and 65. I seriously want to make the jump to an assistant/associate adviser for a high producing advisor firm. I’m afraid to make the switch as I don’t know if I am going to be pushing papers or talking to clients for the first few years. I seriously want to get client exposure as early as possible. I am making good money now but I seriously want to be client facing and start getting some skin in the game.
What do you guys think? There is good opportunity for vertical growth in my current company. Should I stick it out til I’m 30+ and more certified/experienced? Or should I start busting ass now?
