A&M restructuring vs. Big 4 restructuring

Hi everyone,

Is there any significant difference between A&M restructuring and big 4 restructuring departments?

A&M is often referred to as a restructuring market leader but I am not sure if they are also considered better than Big 4.

A&M is a world better than Big 4 when it comes to restructuring. Big 4 really isn't in consideration for the big restructuring/turnaround deals. Plus you're looking at a lot lower compensation, less experience/growth then the leaders (A&M, Alix, FTI). Only possible positive for the Big 4 is better name recognition outside of restructuring.
