Another potential RENEG question...

So this is the situation I am in.

I didn't get many interviews, but I did land and ACCEPT an offer at a solid boutique IB in New York, but its certainly not Laz/BX/Evrcore and its also not really well known outside of IB, which matters to me because I am not 100% I plan on staying in IB for the long-term and am even considering different options for the fall.

I was recently offered an interview with SEO (I applied a while back) from what I understand they guarantee placement at one of the following places in IBD.
* Bank of America Merrill Lynch
* Barclays Capital
* Citi
* Credit Suisse
* Deutsche Bank
* Goldman, Sachs & Co.
* J.P. Morgan
* Lazard Ltd
* Morgan Stanley
* UBS

I would take any of these places instead of my current offer. (well UBS is pretty bad now in the US so I think that's the only one I wouldn't) Obviously I would take GS/MS/LAZ/JPM over my current option.

My concerns are, assuming that this will hurt me pretty bad in terms of my school's career services is this worth it? Will it make me look bad to other potential employers? What if they ask me in the interview about other offers etc.

I am not sure if SEO interns get treated differently than regular summer analysts.. or if they count as normal SAs, I know I can do the work and do well at any of these places, I am not worried about my own competency, I just wasn't lucky enough to get in the door.

Any advice insight would be much appreciated...

What I am considering doing is interviewing and if I am offered a spot than reneging.

anyone on here done SEO? I don't mind if people think I got it through SEO and I am incompetent as long as I get a chance to prove I am not. I understand the people who have said to stick it--

I am just wondering if someone were in my place and were just simply offered a regular interview at better firm would they take it...i've read some reneg posts and people have said that if it were the other way around it wouldn't really be as much of a question...is SEO that much of a stigma?
