Antares Capital - Lifestyle, comp, exit, etc

Hey y’all,
Just accepted a SA 2019 position with Antares Capital Chicago (credit analyst/Front Office type). I have prior internship experience in private debt at a smaller fund (Monroe Capital, NXT Capital, Madison Capital, etc), so I know what the work is like and that Antares is definitely the shop to be at for its market (MM Levergaed Lending/LevFin). I was wondering if anyone had any insights into what full time comp is like through the ranks, b-school rep (my understanding is that it was great under GE Capital), exit ops, lifestyle, etc. Do you earn carry/does it make sense to leave if you’re earning carry? Do you need to go to Bschool if you’re not trying to rebrand yourself?

Other info about me: B1G Semi target for banks, main target for B4 (had offer but turned them down, wasn’t too interested in audit), decent GPA (3.3-3.7), accy/fin double major.

Thanks in advance for the help!

From my understanding analyst don't really earn carry. bschool isn't a requirement or prerequisite for promotion, but they evaluate work product. I think most buyside gigs are more worried about track record and investment performance than pedigree (after you get in of course, pedigree does effect how you get in).

FT comp all in should be around 150 for a first year analyst
