Any chance from city schools

So let me cut to the point, I have a high GPA(3.9) from New York school(think St. John's) and my only relevant finance experience is my internship with the SEC and being part of my school's student managed investment fund . What are possible ways to get into trading this late into the year? I will be graduating in May.

Unfortunately, you're a few months late. Recruiting for all of the BBs and most MM banks is done by now. With no prior trading experience and coming from a non-target, it's going to be extremely difficult for you to find a trading job this late in the recruiting season. It also depends what your major is - a 3.9 in physics or applied math is much more impressive than a 3.9 in basket weaving. I would say that at this point your only chance is networking your ass off and you might get lucky. You just have to realize that the people you are up against were asking this question during their freshman year, not 2 months before graduation. Good luck though

Yea I figured that much, but my degree is in Finance. I guess I will just have to keep networking and hope to get lucky. If any St. John's Alum are out there , any help would be appreciated.
