Any chances for a fourth year psychology major in Canadian undergrad (doing 5th year)?

Hi everyone,

I am a Canadian student studying psychology. I was wondering what preps I could do at this late stage to switch to banking? My gpa is around 3.7 and I had internship experiences in JPM HK, Legg Mason HK and AB Korea in my second year. Since then I leaned towards psychology programs and dedicated my summer for extracurricular activities (i.e., leadership positions in student organizations, research assistant in psych labs, etc.).

It was only this Summer that I became more interested in finance/banking. While I am interested in psychology, I don't think I can devote my life for it. So instead, I wish to find a job right after my undergrad - but given my current circumstances I feel lost in where I should begin. I feel I am running out of time to take some action and do some prep work.

I'd like to know what options I have in NA, and what sort of sectors I could be able to break into. I read about high-end positions like IB, PE, and even consulting positions but I am not sure which area I'd have better odds. Or maybe it's just too late for me at this point to try to tackle such high end positions? I believe finding such position in US would be much less likely?

I will be also looking for positions in HK and Korea but I'd prefer to stay in NA. My father believes I will have advantage if I were to start off my career in Korea because I also speak Korean but I do not wish to live there for long. He says in several years I should be able to move to NA but who knows?

Please pardon the lack of coherence in the writing. Both my wrists are put in cast after I fell off my bike so it's very hard to type :'(

Thank you for reading!

PS: I ordered fundamental principles of accounting to get myself some basic knowledge haha..
