Any insights on Global Environment Fund?

Hi guys,

Any opinion on GEF? I have been with a Domestic front end IB in the Tech team for over 2 years. The deal flow hasn't been that great although the bank is very reputed on the Street for the overall IB practice. Will be joining GEF in 2 weeks time. Would be great if you could share your perspective on this? I understand that I will be moving to a niche fund (environmental efficiency, energy efficiency) but I reckoned better to move to buy side shop with deal flow as opposed to sell side with limited deal experience to show for.

PS: New to this forum. Not sure if this is the right place to ask.
