Any internationals considering deferring enrollment?

I was admitted to one of M7 schools but (if possible) am thinking to defer my enrollment given the situation.

I expect that it's gonna be really tough for students (especially for internationals like me) to get a summer internship this year if the COVID-19 impact will last throughout a year. As far as I know, all the important recruiting/networking sessions are in 4Q20 but I don't think the situation will be fully resolved by then.

So, I want to know other perspective students' plan/opinion on this. Also, if there is anyone who already talked to Admissions office regarding deferred enrollment, please kindly share their reaction?

I'm American but was admitted to one MBA business schools">M7 program (where I put down a deposit R1), and now was taken off the waitlist this week for another MBA business schools">M7 since they have so many students deciding not to attend or deferring. Now I'm mostly trying to decide whether to switch, a choice I didn't expect to have.

I have to admit, even as a US citizen it's giving me concern to attend starting in the fall since it seems more likely than not that classes/recruiting will be virtual, and I'm paying all that money for a significantly worse experience, in all likelihood even if we see some improvement. Plus if I can reapply with a potentially better job and some of the lessons I learned from applying once, I may be able to get into a better school. Uncertain times now
