Any internships not opened up yet or will open up?
Hi. I just transferred to a university that now gives me the opportunity to get an IB job...but I am a rising junior looking for a summer 2022 internship.
I am terribly behind on this whole process and am very confused about where kids even know what investment banks have closed, opened, or yet to open their applications for summer 2022. I know a ton of rising juniors already got their internships and a ton of banks have already closed their applications. Any tips? Do I still have a chance?
To be honest with you, if u haven't done any interview or technical prep overall, this recruiting cycle will be super tough, especially if you aren't now at a target. That being said, there are still a ton of banks out there as shown on other threads. What I would do in your position is immediately start networking at all the places with apps still open / yet to come out, while simultaneously grinding through all the technical guides to make sure you can ace the basics and understand the concepts. This should take around 1 month and then interviews hopefully will start popping up. Then its a matter of refined answers on the behavioral and technical side of things.
