Any of you into photography?

Any of you guys/gals photographers? Started watching a few videos over the summer and have been taking some pictures with my phone, don't have another camera. I think it is a cool skill to have. Any of you have tips/resources I can use?

Have done a lot of lifestyle photography for products. Lighting + knowing the ins and outs of Lightroom is the biggest 80/20 IMO. Especially in 2020 when you can get a decent lens/camera inexpensively.

1/3s rule

Always focus on the 4 points of interest in the photo and split the sky or water with 1/3 not 1/2.

I've never been one to take pictures with camera or phone, but photography is a hobby. I have rentals and I can't justify paying someone to take pictures at $100-$150 a shoot for a rental listing.

Anyone familar with drones. I'm looking to pick one up. I'm am considering a dji mavic mini drone, seems like a good starter set.

If any one can recommend a good YouTube channel or another resource, it would be appreciated.

I prefer to take pictures with my iPhone, so I can give you some tips. You have to be very careful when using the flash on your smartphone. It can do more harm than good because it adds unnecessary glare and highlights to photos. It is better to switch the flash to manual mode and use it only in extreme cases. The iPhone flash is set to auto by default. Before taking the picture, pay attention to the light: how it is applied to the subject and from what angle it is better to take it The best moments to take pictures are morning and evening. There is even a term among photographers "golden hour."
