Anyone else here have no idea what they actually enjoy doing?

Brief background:
Super non-target graduate. Worked in BB Ops for a little bit and moved over to a tech company working in their corporate strategy team.

I know most people here have a fetish with the whole IBD > PE/HF route but do any of you actually enjoy it? Do you literally wake up in the morning thinking "Awww yeeah, I get to build some excel models today!"

One thing about me is I get bored as hell really fast. I hate sitting in front of the computer all day. It's not "intellectually stimulating" for me to look at a bunch of numbers and write excel formulas. I thought I would enjoy strategy work (or maybe it's just my firm) but I hate looking at the same problem and throwing out 12 different analyses and projects only to show that that our sales is low because our sales people just suck.

I told my mentors about my problem with repetition and sitting in front of the computer all day. They suggested I look into consulting due to the variety and client facing work. So when we had one of the MBB firms come to our office I thought "perfect, now I can see what they actually do!" only to realize that they do almost the same thing (sit in front of tiny laptops in excel and draw bullshit graphs on the whiteboard) except they come in earlier and leave later than everyone else at the end of the day. Am I missing something here?

I plan to get my MBA (applying this fall) and I sure as hell am not interested in IBD and PE/VC is probably too late but if MBB is not really as sexy as everyone makes it out to be, then what the hell am I supposed to do?

Currently I'm thinking maybe something more salesy like Business Development or Strategic Partner Manager or something. Anyone have experience in a position involving client relationship management + the whole analysis/excel/powerpoint? Anyone have experience working for a start up post MBA?

PS. Please don't respond if you are still in undergrad. No offense.
