Anyone go from boutique to BB at 22+?

Just as title asks, are there any stories out there of kids getting into a BB from a tiny shop/relevant experience, but not great name? I'm currently 24 for context. I don't have a lot of money saved for b-school as I am paid sub-street. And I'm worried my work experience won't go far post MBA to get me into a high paying job, making it worthwhile. I would say my skills in modeling are advanced since I have gotten a lot of exposure to it. I wouldn't say I'm the most technical because I know there's a lot of differences between where I work and large corporate transactions.

Hey there. I'll be working at a middle-market boutique starting September, and I want to make a jump to a BB. Since I just graduated in May, I am planning on applying for FT roles for final year students--that way, I can get like 9ish months of work experience before I move to BB, if I even receive the opportunity. Would that be an acceptable strategy to landing a role? Should I apply to "experienced hire" positions instead? Any advice on how I should network and what my story and "ask" should be?

I thought BB recruiting was done by now. But if that’s not the case, then you wouldn’t be an experienced hire because you won’t have any experience to show.

You should be networking as much as you can. Friends of friends and alumni are a great source with the help of LinkedIn. In my decade of working, I only got two jobs from applying. Rest were referrals.
