I'm looking for Modeling training without paying $300+ for the typical name brand trainings (WSP/BIWS) etc..
Has anyone heard of ASimpleModel.com? Is "A Simple Model" content deep enough for interviews or am I just better off spending the $300+ for a proven product?
It's slightly lighter-weight compared to the paid products (as you could easily guess), but I found that it was competent and thorough enough to point the kids I mentor to as an adequate resource for interviews.
I echo m3shuggah that Macabacus is a good supplementary resource. I have no idea what Multiple Expansion's products are though, can someone link?
I am permanently behind on PMs, it's not personal.
Jesus, you get jealous thinking of your stick-figure equivalent resources for recruiting or analyst years when you see stuff like this or Logo Intern, Mapping Intern, BamSEC ...

I never heard of Mapping Intern before. Thanks for sharing. I spent (waste) so much time creating maps when we present a deck to the board to get approval for a transaction and they want to see where every facility is located.
A Simple Model, like the name implies, is fairly light and "simple". My suggestion would be studying a technical interview guide and using A Simple Model to supplement it. The whole purpose of a modeling program is to give you some hands on experience, and for that, I think A Simple Model is adequate.

I think it's fine for summer analyst interviews, at least. I'd also supplement it with Macabacus' modeling guides and Multiple Expansion's guides.

APAE, they started it around a month ago, so it's still light, but I like it: multipleexpansion.com
Thank you. I really like that a lot.

Sure, I heard about it here too (same with Logo Intern, although a couple months apart). Amazing, man ... love technology.
Almost makes me want to go back to being an IB analyst....not really, though.
