Anyone heard of RedBird Capital? (culture, etc.)

Wondering if anyone has heard of RedBird Capital and may have some anecdotal feedback or knowledge of the firm. Saw they are buying a stake in the Fenway Sports Group but haven't previously heard of them. Appreciate it!

If you're lucky enough to get an offer, I'd take it if PE is what you want to do.

I don't know what to make of this response because it provides no basis for comparison to other PE opportunities. How about providing insights into how big the fund is, how returns have been, how well they pay, how differentiated they are, where the founders came from (if they're a new fund)?

Ok bud you want me to spell everything out for you? Nobody here asked for those details, and most of that info can be found elsewhere by using google and going to their website. They are not a new fund - again this can be found simply by going to their page, which anyone who is interviewing for any PE shop ever does. Do you really work in PE...? Founders' details can be found on their fund page. Anyone who has spent >1 year in TMT-related private markets investing has probably come across Gerry and RedBird in some way shape or form. Last fundraise was "nearly $2b" from what I've heard. Anyway from what I've heard from the people I know there, comp is good, don't know exact figures but nobody has complained to me so isn't below market.

Solid shop, know one of their MD's. Don't know what working there is like, but everyone seemed happy/colegial last time I visited (keep in mind pre-COVID). They have some pretty heavy hitting LP's and good relationships that allows them to punch way above their weight from an AUM perspective. TMT focused, heavy on the media, light but still meaningful on the tech. As other's have mentioned I would not hesitate for a moment to accept an offer there if you are lucky enough to get it.

Did a DD call with them last month and they were great. Very knowledgable on the business we were looking at investing in.
