Anyone here hearing voices?
Not "hearing voices" in a schizo way, but because of tiredness. Sometimes when I am very tired (all nighter, etc) and take a short nap, I fall asleep and instantly start dreaming, then I see the room in which I am as if my eyes were open and hear voices of men and women coming from everywhere, not in my ears, but directly in my mind. Not threatening or anything, just coming from everywhere, as if they were chatting with someone at a quick pace about some business matter. I have to make a conscious effort to "leave" this state of mind and start dreaming normally again, because even though I am not totally clear-minded, I still understand that hearing voices is not a normal state of mind.
Banker bros, am I going batshit insane?
Sheesh man you sound seriously sleep deprived. Or perhaps all you do is work and/or think about work. Try doing a few different activities outside of work and catch-up on some sleep. Good luck my guy.
Yes, this is sleep paralysis. I’ve suffered from the same problem for a long time. Sleep deprivation / irregular sleep pattern will definitely do it. Try sleeping on your side and not your back - I always found that helped.

15 minutes can save you 15% of your sanity.
Yeah bruh I get the same shit. Look up hypnagogia. Sometimes I’ll hear train horns or some shit while I’m falling asleep that don’t exist.
I have this experience every once in a while, especially when I'm really tired or when I fall asleep in the public. In fact, I just experienced it tonight.
Ngl, I actually find it enjoyable. It feels like I'm tripping balls in a good way. I hear randos, friends, and family members. Usually, they're talking about something super generic - probably some combination of things that you've actually heard people talk about. The words are just stored in the part of the brain you can't easily access and this experience just allows you to look into that part of your memory in a random way.
To describe a little more, I feel like I'm a radio. I'm just receiving different signals at different wavelengths. Sometimes, I can actually control what I hear and from whom I hear things. I actually "turn an imaginary knob" in my head.
I read that it's closely related to lucid dreams, which I experience quite often. So that explains why I can control things so well. Probably doesn't apply to most people though.
I'm usually relaxed when I experience this, so that might be why I enjoy it.
Maybe whispers from the 2016 election?
But seriously, sounds like you're sleep depraved.
Yay. Everything is political.
I know it's difficult to stop checking who's winning every 5 mins but give a break. Better for your mental bealth.
This sounds like sleep paralysis - it used to happen to me a lot whenever i took like a 20-30 min nap in the middle of the day. It’s like you’re half awake but you hallucinate and hear things, and can’t move your body even though you feel conscious... it’s scary shit but try to stick to a more regular sleep schedule. It hasn’t happened to me in a while.
