Anyone know any Brown and Northwestern grads in real life? Are they chill?
vs UMich alums? Trying to debate if they're worth an extra $7-10k a year over a UMich Ross BBA. I'm sure the actual college experience at all three will be fun as hell, just curious about differences post grad. Does NU even get much respect? Does Brown really have a "worst/weirdo Ivy" stigma?

2 in 5 at Brown are pre-med gunners. 2 in 5 are "weird" rich kids who dress like bohemian/hipster bums but swipe $1000s on daddy's amex every month. 1 in 5 are affirmative action admits.
I'm pretty sure this is a troll post, but there are all types of kids at all of these schools. I know plenty of normal and social kids at Brown, even if it does have that weirdo stigma. All the Ivy League schools have lots of weirdos, but there are all types of people if you look hard enough. If it's a serious concern, the kids at any state school are going to be a lot more social, but it's a tradeoff. Cheers.
not trolling. edited out the attempt at humor.
NU gets respect that is comparable to Cornell (maybe brown too) but not the other ivies. And yes Brown does get flack for being arguably the worst or 2nd worst ivy and also being the easiest, hippy, liberal ivy etc etc. Still I would pick Brown over UMich if the extra cost doesn't put you in debt. You will get a more prestigious degree, better undergrad education and will most likely have an easier time with recruiting (grade inflation, it is an ivy etc etc) Not 100% sure if i would pick NU though over UMich, especially if we ar talking about UMich Ross
At any Big 10 bar in Chicago, the Northwestern kids are usually the ones nervously clutching a ginger beer in the corner just nervously staring at the ground and talking to nobody, next to the Iowa kid puking his brains out in the trash can.
I know one Brown grad, shes famous you have heard of her. Other than that the only interaction I've had with Brown kids is at sporting events and they aren't that much different than other Ivy kids. Northwestern is a decent school, I looked at the JD MBA program because I was bored and wanted a challenging graduate school program but decided that getting laid and sailing was a better life decision. Michigan is a great school I have family that went there. But the location makes it less targeted for the best jobs, doesn't mean you can't land at the best firms just means it will be way harder to.
Emma Watson?
Yes.
Only Kellogg is good. NW undergrad is gay
If your goal is to go into IB, i'd argue that UMich will give you the strongest chance assuming you get into the Ross BBA program. It will also likely be the best "college" experience of the three
